CAMP
RADFORD
DON EUBANK'S STORY
In my younger days I spent many summers at Camp Radford, and was there the year of the big forest fire. It was at Camp Radford
where I made my commitment to Christ in 1948. Harold Chalfant was the youth director.
Pranks were going on all the time at camp, and it was getting on Harold's nerves. One night someone rolled several croquet
balls down the steps in the main dorm. Harold was very upset.
Several years later my wife and I were talking about Camp Radford with Al and Ann Alpert and I mentioned the wooden balls
rolling down the stairs. Of all things it was Ann that did the prank. To his dying day, Harold never found out who did it.
