After graduation from LIFE Bible College in Los Angeles in 1932, Howard and Vaneda Harper Courtney were married and entered
ministry in Foursquare churches beginning in Wisconsin and later in Indiana, Oregon, California and Illinois.
But before that, Vaneda says . . .
It was June 21, 1929 about 2:30 in the morning (night) that I received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit only one block from
the campus of University of Illinois where I was just finishing my sophomore year. I was 18. My how that event changed my
life, and the transfer to LIFE the very next semester (January) was the best timing it could be--meeting Doc and other things.
A year or two later would have been so different. It even worked out for good in how it affected my parents who, of course
wanted me to stay and finish university.
God really knows what He is doing if we trust Him.
