The threat of this El Nino thermal anomaly is no longer questioned by climatologists and emergency relief organizations. Now, while they are busy preparing to house, feed and heal millions of homeless, others of us are trying to pinpoint the cause of this tremendous heat anomaly.... and we are finding a lot of evidence which points to our Sun as the physical source of the anomalous heat patterns and subsequent global warming we are seeing

We have known since 1991 that the Sun has been emitting at least two new spectral bands. I have discussed this both with US Air Force personnel at an Australian solar observatory nearby and with a Kitt Peak Solar Observatory scientist in Arizona. The initial feeling was that no immediate global warming or human health impairment would be caused by these new emissions. No one understood why they were being emitted; and a great debate started as to the true functional nature of the dynamic processes which drive our Sun.

It is growing more and more academic at this point. The Sun may undergo a sudden and protracted increased energy output period for a few weeks in the next four to five years. Until the 1991 emissions were discovered, it was thought that our Sun was a stable star with minimal variations in its energy output. Now, however, our Sun has been officially reclassified as a variable energy output star; which means that we will experience both abnormally high heat periods interlaced with abnormally low out put periods as our star ages.

Regarding the apparent cooling off of the OTIS thermal anomaly images on the 5th of Sep 97, let me explain what happened. The heat variations (anomalies) over the 30-year average began to be so far above the original colour scale which Dr Cummings of the US Navy had established on his original OTIS program that a new scale had to be implemented to give a more meaningful plot of the anomalies. This scale was expand 33 percent in the cooling anomalies and 100 percent in the heating anomalies... (this says a lot in itself...)

So, instead of the original range of -3C to +3C, we now have -4C to +6C to accommodate the horrific heating of the sea surfaces. This made the anomalies suddenly appear less extreme than before; but I stress this was only an illusion caused by the expanded range of the colours. This was a much-needed change to the images to give us a more accurate analysis tool. Just remember, this service is a free one to the public and is only there at all because one man, named Jim Cummings, pushed and shoved the chain of command to let him have access to the CRAY XMP there at the FNMOC in Monterey, California just two years ago.

Because earthquake swarms have started to appear in the USA and in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and in the Kermadec Ridge, we have added a "US SEISMIC HAZARD Map" originally produced by the USGS in November 1996. This map is a quicker and more localised study than the gravitational anomaly map we have elsewhere on this site. Holly spent an entire day adding solid colours to the original of this image to make the risk zones easier to view on the web.

Today's thermal forecast map (Shaker) shows danger zones for quakes, volcanoes and violent storms in a lot more places than normal for the next five to ten days. I must encourage people in these region we have circled on the map to prepare their households for loss of power, water and food for a few days at the very least. If the disasters don't hit this week or next..... they will in the near future. There will be no safe places to reside...

PLEASE NOTE: I have been asked by the US Navy's FNMOC staff to make it VERY clear that my analyses of their OTIS SST thermal maps are in no way officially sanctioned by the US Navy or FNMOC or any other agency of the US Government. It is their feeling that the data has so many missing chunks due to cloud cover and other anomalous circumstances that my forecasts would be rendered too risky to be used officially; and,... I agree with their reasoning on this issue.

However,... I still think we have enough reliable data to make Partially Educated Guesses (PEGs) as to when and where the next quakes, volcanoes and/or severe electrical storms will be happening... FNMOC (Fleet Numerical Meteorology and (Oceanography Center) is one of the world's foremost oceanographic and atmospheric analysis and forecasting centers. They are a key part of the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command, utilizing super-computers, rapid communications and sophisticated numerical models of the ocean and atmosphere to produce and distribute environmental prediction products and data fields to major Navy forecasting centers, deployed units and other Department of Defense activities around the world.

Contacts on Capitol Hill report the disturbing news that America will be restrained from launching another Operation Desert Storm because of the threat of nuclear, chemical and biological terrorism on the American mainland (like the Tokyo subway poison gas massacre only much worse). Europe will have its hands tied because of its torturous decision-making structures and fear of terrorist reprisals. The end result will be a new Middle East war with Israel at its center which could rapidly escalate into the most devastating conflict in all history. To save itself, Israel will have to resort to nuclear weapons, sparking the final apocalypse.

WARNING #2:
Nuclear terrorism will put every nation in the West, especially America, at great risk.

WARNING #3:
The coming battle of the Pacific will soon become America's greatest military challenge.

WARNING #4:
The Russian-Iranian-African Empire will pose a great new threat to the West, including America. Anti-Western forces will control not only the Suez Canal, but the only alternative sea route around the Cape of Good hope.

WARNING #5:
Latin America border wars will explode into numerous deadly conflicts which only U. S. military intervention can stop.

WARNING #6:
The U. S., Asia and the world will be drawn into a major military confrontation between China and Russia over Russia's coveted Far Eastern regions.
