- Recording and Instrumentation:
- I started with the bass track on the guitar, then added the harmonizing guitar on top of that. When this sounded good I decided that this should be the actual recording not just a demo as I had originally thought it would be. So then I added the bass vocals, followed by the improvised mellody vocals. I then added an all but inaudible vocal track of me just speaking Vannessa's name. Then I added a beat-box track, a cowbell track, and a track of me just chanting "Funk" on the downbeats. I think this came out to something like ten tracks.

- So I decided once I started talking to Vanessa in my english class that anyone with a last name as cool as Funk deserves to have a name song for them. I originally wrote this song thinking I would record it using the keyboard bass and a trumpet, but I like how it came out just using my acoustic guitar.
