Gary Nelson

Recording and Instrumentation:
This recording is crazy. It has a total of thirty-seven tracks, and for the mojority of the process I didn't know where I was going. I had started it a long time ago, but finally put it together now that I have time in the summer. I'm glad that I finally made a recording with my flugel horn (actually, it belongs to my school). The recording of the flugel horn is hard to deal with because no brass instruments record well, using them only for harmony makes them sounds much better, that is why there are very few single note horn parts in this recording. I also had a hard time deciding how high to mix the bass part, hopefully you can still hear it. The only keyboard sounds I use are piano and double bass.

Song History:
This is one the early name songs I wrote, but I put off recording it for a long time. This also marks the first time that I use more than one chord progression in one name song. It is the seventh name song to be recorded.

Recorded on: 25 July 2004
