GENERAL MEETING:
Tuesday, June 26, 2001 in the Montgomery Waller Rec. Bldg., 7pm, to talk with your Councilman! Yes, I know I said no more meetings until September, but I felt you should get to know the Councilman and what will go into the budget. Besides,---district lines are to be changed very soon! Have you thought about those changes? It is more than City Council, it includes State and Federal districts too. I believe this will be a very important and most interesting year. So reserve the date and be at the meeting. I have reserved the two rooms in the Rec. Building so we would be able to have you all and your neighbors too.
OUR NEW POST OFFICE:
We cut the ribbon and had the tours. The crowd was of a nice size, everyone munching on refreshments and seeming to be enjoying the program. Bob Filner, our Congressman, did the honors of recognizing everyone. The Postmaster of San Diego, Glenn Crouch, was there and he introduced the new postal store manager, Jeff Smith, who will step into the job Rick Timenting had. There was a problem of Saturday afternoon door locking, but I talked to Jeff Smith and he assured me the door would be open to get to the boxes till at least 5pm on Saturdays.
