THE SHADOW ON THE WALL

Sent by Nicled

A young man who had been raised as an atheist was training to be an Olympic diver. The only religious influence in his life came from his outspoken Christian friend.

The young diver never really paid much attention to his friends sermons, but he heard them often. One night the diver went to the indoor pool at the college he attended. The lights were all off, but as the pool had big skylights and the moon was bright, there was plenty of light to practice by.

The young man climbed up to the highest diving board and as he turned his back to the pool on the edge of the board and extended his arms out, he saw his shadow on the wall. The shadow of his body was in the shape of a cross. Instead of diving, he knelt down and asked God to come into his life. As the young man stood, a maintenance man walked in and turned the lights on.

The pool had been drained for repairs.

Many people who don't know the Lord feel they have time to get "saved", time to serve the Lord later, but want to have fun now. We never know when our time on earth will end, so please make Jesus your Lord today if you have not done so already.

As we read in 2 Corinthians 6:2, "Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." Be encouraged friend in that spreading the gospel of Christ is the power unto Salvation. It is not in our power that people make Jesus their Lord but by God's spirit. Zechariah 4:6 "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty."

PRAYER

"Lord Jesus, I profess and believe that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. You are my Lord and my Savior. Make my faith strong and help me to live in the victory of the cross by rejecting sin and by accepting your will."
