SITUATION
DECEMBER 19, 1944. The town of Bastogne is surrounded by the Wehrmacht. The US 101st Airborne Division and stragglers from VIII Corps are holding the surrounding area against elements of the Fifth Panzer Army. One key location is a museum, a former castle, where you've been assigned. The upper floor has a great view. Perfect for an Observation Post – when the weather improves. And, it makes a nice roadblock.
MISSION
The mission is simple: hold until relieved. Easy as pie. As long as you are resupplied.
ENEMY
Wehrmacht units are part of the 47th Panzer Corps. The quality of units varies. An SS unit is in the area. It's a small one, maybe an elite assualt unit. G-2 says they are from some ceromonial guard unit called the Ahnenerbe. Whatever that is? Probably some rear area heinies who ticked off Hitler. They can still bleed, right?
YOU, YOUR BUDDIES AND OTHER FRIENDLIES
You have a full load of small arms ammo. Resupply will be daily as long as the supplies hold out. SHAEF had sent out this Captain Klein. He's some historian who came out to see the museum before the Germans attacked. He volunteered to stay behind. There's also Pierre the curator. Looks scruffy and looks like he has had one bottle of cognac too many.
Sergeant Allan “Sarge” Martin
Pfc T. J. Logan, BAR man
Pfc Pete Booker,
Capt. Max Klein, from SHAEF Historical Section, at least that's what he's says
Pfc Art Bean, VIII corps radio operator, assigned to work for Sgt Logan
Sgt Bill Fawcett, forward observer, from Regiment.
NPCs:
The rest of the squad... about 6 other guys.
Pierre, Curator of the Museum
