Welcome to John's ramblings

I know how to desktop publish,
so why does HTML seem so hard?

It's not, I'm just new at it. Lucky for me I have a lot of places to get support. The first is looking at everyone else's web pages. What...you say you don't do that? Sure you don't.

My next best source for help is CompuServe. I know what your thinking, “On-line services are dead and the web killed 'em.” Well, it ain't gonna happen. There will always be a place were people will want to go for more organized, structured support and communication. Those who know me, or have seen my office, know that I can use all the structure I can get.

Where's it all going?

My best guess is, like that first cloud of cosmic gas from which the universe was formed, so to, the servers on the web will aggregate towards a “natural” form of organization. Also, on-line services will, and have already started to becoming, more “web-like” in their appearance and behavior.

You knew it was coming...

Don't you hate it when web heads start talking about their favorite subject or their past. This seems odd to me because for the life of me, I don't seem interested in any one else's stories. Why would you be interested in mine? Maybe this attitude will change in a few weeks once I get tired of talking about myself. Everyone else seems to get tired of it.

So keep checking this page because change will be about the only consistent thing about it.
