Four Seasons Garden Club

Club Meetings
We usually meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. at various locations around the county.  Our programs include speakers, workshops, and field trips.  Members enjoy sharing gardening tips and experiences, as well as delicious luncheons provided by members or out at restaurants.
Members of the Four Seasons Garden Club learned about the unique
challenges of growing lavender in the harsh Quebec climate while at
Bleu Lavande farm on August 4, 2009.

Ten year old May Hanlon, an honorary Youth Member of the
Four Seasons Garden Club, stands among picturesque rows
of some 200,000 lavender plants. She enjoyed the trip to the lavender farm, saying it was "smelly in a good way".

Projects

Projects:

The club planted the garden at the Cyrus Eaton House at the

Old Stone House Museum in Brownington

over 25 years ago and has maintained it ever since.

Below is a watercolor of that garden which graces the cover of the club booklet.
It was painted by club member Philippa Daigle.

The club also maintains gardens at North Country Hospital in Newport.

We have one fundraiser each year, a plant sale in June.

The club supports environmental educational programs in local schools.
