Don't you hate it when you’re busy in the morning, running around like a headless chicken trying to fix
everyone's computer problems...you take (or try to) a 5 minute break to get some coffee and a doughnut or maybe...a nice
big Hard Boiled Egg. You crack the egg shell and start peeling and....NNNNNNnnoooooooo!!!!!!!! The
horror! Sticky hard to peel shell fragments#!#$%*&^*! You try running it under water and peeling gently,
but more and more egg white comes off reducing the size of your egg! NNnnooo....the humanity!
For an easy to peel hard boiled egg try this:
-
Place uncooked eggs in COLD water.
-
Get water boiling, cook 10 - 20 minutes in boiling water.
-
As soon as eggs are done, immerse them in VERY cold ice bath water to get the egg to shrink
slightly inside the shell, making it easier to remove the shell.
-
Fresh eggs tend to be harder to peel; eggs one to two weeks old are recommended because they settle more inside the
shell.
-
An (I haven't tried this but) easy way to remove the shell is to crack the entire shell and then pierce the membrane
on the inside. You can then remove the entire shell, as the membrane holds the shell together.
