Living in Chicago has enabled me to experience a wealth of great music – in the clubs and on independently released vinyl and CDs. It took awhile for the rest of the world to catch on to us, but now Chicago is finally recognized for its vital music scene. Still, a number of worthy efforts have gone unrewarded, so I'll try to provide at least a modicum of recognition through this site. I'll cover national and international releases as well, with an ear toward power pop and alternative music.
