I like perennials! These are plants that will survive and bloom for many years. I've tried hundreds of varieties over the years, with many successes and many failures.

The thing I enjoy most about flower gardening is finding a great plant that does well for me, then finding companion plants that do equally well and that complement each other. It's like painting a huge canvas with an unlimited color palette. It's thrilling to find that perfect color and texture combination.

Scent is also very important to me in the garden. So are the birds and butterflies that my garden attracts.
