Biography

I have a studio in Morgan Hill, California. I play more than work, with Hot Glass, Jewelry Design and Fiber Arts. I have been creating since I could hold a crayon, ( I believe baby food had a particular attraction too!).

Beads have played a role in my life since 1969, I have been making and designing jewelry, and selling it since then. Fall 1999 I took glass blowing at UC Santa Cruz. Spring 1999 I was an artist in Residence at San Jose State University in their glass blowing program and also I was Volunteer Teaching Glass Beadmaking skills there. I have been making collectable glass beads since 1994. Also I am creating a one of a kind collection of bead woven jewelry utilizing my glass beads and sell them in galleries, bead stores and at trade shows. My fiber work has also been featured in 2 clothing galleries. I have owned and operated a fully stocked bead store in Morgan Hill from '94-'97 and have been a member/owner of The Gallery Morgan Hill (a local co-op). I have participated in many festivals and shows since 1994, selling beads and finished jewelry and have a current membership in the American Craft Council, The Northern California Bead Society, The International Society of Glass Beadmakers and the ISGB NorCal group. I am an active member in the Morgan Hill Art Guild also

I have been featured in the January '98 issue of Lapidary Journal entitled "Tactile Vision" showing pictures of my lampworked bead necklaces and bead embellished gemstone necklace art-to-wear and telling a recent story of my life path. Also my work has shown in the Mengue' Museum of Folk Art in San Diego, Ca. during the "Timeline of glass beads" exhibit at Balboa Park thru 11-97. The front page of The Morgan Hill Times featured my glass beadmaking with a nice biography in a December '96 issue. The Pinnacle News in July 2002.

I am currently apprenticing in Silversmithing and show many designs already.
