JROTC BOOSTERS
PRESIDENT'S PODIUM
Thank you for visiting the Riverview High School J.R.O.T.C. Booster web page. The Boosters were created to provide support for the RHS cadet unit. Some of the support that we provide includes female chaperones for camping, Drill meets Raider and Rifle team events for our female cadets. The Boosters also run fundraisers throughout the year to provide funding for the Yearbook cost, Military Ball and the Appalachian Trail hike at the end of every school year. There will be a quarterly newsletter to update the parents on upcoming J.R.O.T.C. events.
I look forward to meeting the new cadets and their parents at the JROTC Orientation. Information will be mailed during the Summer and announced the first week of school. The date has not been determined.
The 2009-2010 yearbook is already underway. You do not want your Cadet to miss this wonderful book. The cost is $22 before November 1st and $27 after.
Our main fundraisers this year will be selling Red Barn cookie dough and pies. This will begin at the beginning of November. The items will be available for a before holiday pick-up in Dec. The annual SAMS Club fundraiser will be in the Spring of 2010.
The Veterans Day Parade is a mandatory event for the cadets. Parents, please attend as well. The parents march behind the cadets to show our support of the program.
We are actively looking for corporate sponsors for the period- January through December 2010. If you know of anyone or any organization that would like to sponsor our cadets, this would be a great way to do it. Please contact me (Stacey) for further information.Thank you,
