Animator 1.0b released! This version allows you to save and beam your animations to another Newton!
- Save animations (please use unique names) and beam them to another Newton!
- Onion-skinning to help draw more accurate pictures (!! TURN OFF ONION-SKINNINF BEFORE PLAYING THE ANIMATION. CAN FREEZE YOUR NEWTON !!
- Use the first frame as a background so you don't have to copy/redraw it for each frame. Saves memory.
- Link animations together to create one long animation !! VERY BUGGY CAN FREEZE YOUR NEWT!!
Download it at the Software page.
Caveat: Animator is released as a beta, so it contains bugs. It can freeze your Newton but it should not damage your Newton's data in anyway. BUT I will not be responsible for any damages caused by Animator to your Newton. When I use it I stay away from the following to keep errors down to a minimum:
- Linking: neat idea but not done well.
- Turn onion-skinning off before playing the animation.
- Give yur animations unique names.

Hilite2000 update: The clipboard palette can now be moved out of the way using buttons (similar to PunctPad). The palette can be moved above/below the caret, to the top or bottom left of the screen, and made to stop/resume tracking the caret. Thanks to Dana Kaempen for the suggestions! Download it at the Software page.
Animator is almost ready to be released as a complete application! Much more robust, this version now allows saving and beaming of your animations! "Onion skinning" and background features make drawing easier and more accurate. In addition, you can "link" or connect several saved animations together to make one long feature! There are a few bugs in the background feature, and beaming doesn't retain the links but it works pretty well otherwise. I'll post a demo for downloading when it's ready.

Animator Available: Here's a "just for fun" app that I fooled around with a while back. It's nowhere near complete and I don't know if I will develop it futher. It depends on the number of responses I get! Animator is a flip book app in which you can draw pictures, frame by frame, and have the Newton "flip the pages" to animate them. Lots of fun if you're bored. Download it at the Software page. Make sure you read the ReadMe file to understand the correct sequence of steps to create your animations!

Note: There is an updated version that fixes a bug when tapping a todo item if there are no appointments. This version was uploaded around 11:45 pm on 12/1/2000.

It's been a long time since updating this site, but I finally have. We hava a new look that hopefully makes things a bit more organized and getting around even easier. I wanted to keep it simple yet interesting. For simplicity sake, I've left out detail pages for some of the less interesting/popular packages. For site building I've gone from Pagemill to GoLive. Since you are looking at this page, you already know Byte-Size Software is on a new server (got rid of my AOL account).
Now to the good stuff! Three updated apps, the biggest update being with PIMple! Read on:
1. PIMple hasn't had an update in almost two years, but here is Op. 3.0! Click on to find out the newest enhancements which includes scheduling and rescheduling of repeating appointments! Yea! Be sure to read my rant on "How PDAs (do not) Handle Repeating Appoinments".
Another new feature is tapping on a anniversary or birthday will show the number of years the anniversary is or the age of the birthday person. PIMple also sports a new, disgusting icon!
(Yuck!)
And for you lucky Mac users, PIMple has a fancy manual made with eDOC!
2. BB Editor has a small enhancement: the delete buton is now divided in half and looks like this <x>. The left half deletes backwards and the right half deletes forwards.
3. The "Archi-Techie" font is now much smaller - 27k on the Newton
4. New alert sound. I had this for a while but never released it. It's a Mac favorite that I got it from AOL ; someones little girl saying "Nope!" A nice, short alert sound. Get it at the Software page.
