Tabs are the 123

4 is the Bookmarks Toolbar Items dragged up there
As you can see from the picture above I have pulled the Bookmark toolbar items(#4) up to the top bar(menu bar) and have unchecked the bookmark toolbar(explained in the last page) so that no Bookmarks Toolbar is between the navigation bar and the tab bar. If you have no tab bar that's probably because the option - Hide tab bar when only 1 site is open - is set in Tools > options > advanced. It's ok to be like that because when you open a page in a new tab the tab bar automatically comes up. Each number(123) is a tab, there's a tab for each webpage that is open, you can click very fast between the tabs to the one you want, it's more convenient than switching between windows. If you notice I have dragged the "New Tab" icon up to the space between the "Home" icon and the address box this is so if I want a new tab and I want to type an address for it, I can hit the "New Tab" button and start typing.
There's a couple more ways to get new tabs.

1. File > New Tab

2. Middle click a link on a page

3. Right click a link and choose "open in a new tab"

4. Middle click a bookmark, bookmark toolbar shortcut or the throbber in the right upper corner under the close button.

5. Double click an open spot on the tab bar.

There's a couple of ways to close tabs.

1. Middle click on the tab

2. Click the close button on the right side of the tab bar.

3. Right click of a tab gives you a couple of options.

Here's a little trick

If you have text that is a url but it's not clickable you can highlight the text and drag it to the tab bar or address bar and it will open that url.

If you open a link in a new tab but it opens behind the window you are looking at now but you want it to open so that you see it right away, go to Tools > Options > Tabs and put a check in the box > "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately.
