IF

If all our senses lie to us,
and there is no matter, only form.
If what seems to be is not,
and the real, oft fades from day to day.
If chaos and confusion just brings light,
and good intentions turn to night,
Then Dreams can nought be made of facts,
how logic lies.
For soul is truth of an other kind
through thinking often dies.
