WHO'S WORKING

Congratulations to our former student, Gavin Hood, for completing his latest film, "Rendition", starring Reese Witherspoon, Jake Glyenhal, Alan Arkin and Meryl Streep. Gavin won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film for "Tsotsi", which he wrote and directed. "Tsotsi" also garnered awards at the Edinborough, Toronto, and AFI film Festivals. Gavin is currently in production "X-Men IV".

Congratulations are also in order to former- Workshop teacher David Paymer. David is a well-known character actor with over fifty features films to his credit, including an Oscar nomination for his work in "Mr. Saturday Night". Three years ago David began directing for television, with notable success. He's just completed directing his 25th show, an episode of David Mamet's "The Unit" for CBS. Later this month he returns to ABC to direct another episode of "Brothers and Sisters".
