Calistoga
Affordable Housing (CAH) is a California non-profit corporation with
California and Federal tax-exempt status under IRS Section 501(c)(3).
The primary objectives and purpose of Calistoga Affordable Housing are:
- To advocate the preservation, rehabilitation
and development of affordable housing in the City of Calistoga.
- To provide information regarding affordable
housing to the public and to the City of Calistoga, including public
contact, media releases and this information website.
- To assist the City of Calistoga in
developing plans, policies, regulations and ordinances which will comply
with state and federal law and will encourage affordable housing.
- To investigate the feasibility of the City
of Calistoga creating a redevelopment district or housing authority.
- To advise the City of Calistoga on
appropriate means available to the City to increase the stock of
affordable housing.
- To seek funding in the form of
contributions, grants, loans and subsidies for affordable housing in
the City of Calistoga from appropriate private, community, county,
state and federal sources.
- To cooperate in and/or joint venture the
development or purchase and rehabilitation of affordable housing
projects in the City of Calistoga with other non-profit agencies.
- To directly develop and/or purchase and
rehabilitate affordable housing in the City of Calistoga.
