Useful Links

The links listed below are essentially for American readers.

"German Deli" is a site which I have found very useful in ordering items difficult to find in supermarkets. This is where I was able to obtain canned Salsify which I found delectable. They ship anything immediately and have been very reliable.

Although "New Belgium Brewing Company" does not sell beer online (yet?), visit the site to get information about all the Belgian-style beers available. And you can e-mail them to find out who your local distributor is. Their brews are the closest in taste and body to beer in Belgium!

This link, "Visit Belgium" is the official Tourism site for Belgium. Has lots of information about Belgium and is one of the best sites in its category.

The "Belgium Beer Lovers" site gives you information about the various monasteries which are also breweries plus a lot of other information about Belgian beers.... Well worth the visit!

"Leonidas". Here is where you will find Belgium's best (in my humble opinion) pralines - filled chocolates - They are flown into New York every week and they only ship them two day Fed-Ex or overnight Fed-Ex (for warmer climates) so you get them as fresh as possible. Belgium is known all over Europe for its chocolate, so try this out!

If you want to learn more about Belgian "Frites", do visit this website: "The Original Belgian Fries Website" lots of interesting information!

And here is a link which has little or nothing to do with our "Food" pages but, for those interested in traveling, it will give you an edge on finding accomodations anywhere in the world.
Bed and Breakfast Planner lists over 8,000 bed and breakfast places and is adding more all the time. This is a "Link Exchange" as they have a link to this web site on their page for Belgium... If you are interested in B&B's, by all means visit them at: "Bed and Breakfast"
