I started crashcrew in 1991 at MCAS Futenma and then finished up at
MCAS Newriver from 1992 to 1994.
And I do remember those hotspot hours, especially the stench from the seats of the truck which soaked up all the farts and every drop of sweat from every crashcrewman that sat hotspot in that vehicle. Other than that I had no regrets.

This site really brought back some memories. I was with H&HS Recovery at Kuni from 91-93 and the taxiway hotspot was where we used to take our crew's newbies and sacrifice them to the "binjo fire gods". Anyone out there remember the old "Recovery vs. CFR" night time battles? We sure had some good ones! Keep up the good work on your great site!!
