Chris Newman Whats up fellow crash crewers. Hope every one is doing well. I would like to say that I miss hotspot and 48 hr shifts, but I don't. I do miss the time sleeping at hotspot (oops I mean turret watch) and the fun we had when the section leader went home (oops I mean to bed). Well drop me a line sometime and let me now how things are going.

Newsome, Sam
Formerly Cpl.Newsome and maybe a few other names by some. Great site Diehl, I just happened onto your site and started reading the decription of the harrier crash, (my last one), and said hey that sounds like...and it was!! Those were the days. I would love to hear from some of my fellow crewmen, we did't have women back then. I stop by Quantico CC every once and a while just to smell Lt H2O again. I am a Police Detective with Prince William County Police, was hired my last day in the Corp. I joined the department in 1980 21 years ago
YES JOE SCHMIDT AND I STILL STAY IN TOUCH AND STILL GET INTO AS MUCH TROUBLE AS POSSIBLE WHEN WE GET THE CHANCE. OUR OLD MOTTO: NEWSOME AND SCHMIDT - SPECIALIZING IN CRASH SITE CONFUSION !
"Sam, I bet you would love to see that one picture I took at Hotspot with you and the wild man from Arkansas , in it: You were sitting hotspot in a P-4, and we coast up to you, without you hearing us, as a matter of fact, I think Joe was driving the truck I was in. Question, did you ever find any holes in your eyelids LOL, Ike"
