The thing I miss most about crash crew was relieving HOT SPOT with the CREW O'
DEATH all three or four of us being over six-foot and over 200 lbs. and all
section water wars and of course the FIRE GOD. The things I don't miss are
field days and Wednesday morning formations. there are alot of Marines that I
served with that are listed but there are a great deal more that aren't listed
that I would like to hear from.

Hi there Fellow Crispy Critters! I am currently a Firefighter with San Diego Federal. I have been with the Federal Fire Dept since I got out of the USMC in 1987. I have had the opportunity to be assighned on all the Crash Crew Fire Stations on all Military Airfields south of El Toro to the Mexican border including: MCAS Eltoro, MCAF Camp Pend, NAS Miramar, NAS North island and OLF Imperial beach. I was on the CH-53 crash and Church Crash at El toro and I left to Iwakuni 3 weeks before the F-18 crashed.(I like how "Top" did the extrication on Resuce 911!!!)
I have LOTS of Pictures during my USMC Crash Crew days.
"Hey" to all my old buds, I had a hell of a time in the Corps!!! Feel free to E-mail!!

Bret, Krabbe
My name is Bret Krabbe, and I enlisted in the Corps in 2000. I have always wanted to only be a Marine and a fireman, and I can say I am both. I went to goodfellow and from there did a tour at MCAS Iwakuni from June 01 to July 02. From there I was informed of a unit in Maryland called CBIRF, Chemical Biological Incident Response Force. I finished my tour in the Corps here. It is a unit based in southern MD to protect the capitol in the case of a WMD event. 7051's are assigned to the technical rescue platoon, and are pretty much the equivilent to a trained FEMA USAR team. It is here i found my love for technical rescue. I became a volunteer firefighter in the area and got to know a lot of guys from the DC fire department. I finished my four years here leaving a Sergeant and the Rescue Training SNCO. The Corps was the best thing I ever did. I joined the District of Columbia fire department in August of 04 and have been there ever since. I am assigned to Engine 15 in southeast DC. My company is also part of the department Collapse team with Rescue Squad 3 who we are quartered with. Would like to to be added to your page to hopefully keep in touch with other crashcrewman. Thanks, hope to hear back from you. Semper Fidelis FF B. Krabbe
