30s era ivory barong

30s era Ivory Hilted Barong

1930s era ivory hilted barong from the Sulu Sultanate, probably belonging to a prominent Datu. Swaasa punto is wrapped in braided silver wire. Underneath wire wrapping on ivory cockatua is a carabao horn spacer. Scabbard is un-original, but very well done.
Dimensions:
Overall length 26.5" from tip of cockactua to end of scabbard.
Cockatua measures 3.25" from beak to plume made of ivory interspersed with a carabao horn spacer.
Damascene blade is 17" long with a 2.75" wide belly.
Punto measures 3.25"
