KA-BANG it's art in the service of commerce!

That's what I do, plain and simple. I create art that makes an impact! A statement about the commitment that my customers have to the quality and value of the their products. A statement about my commitment to contribute to the promotion of those products.

I'm Derick Joy, and I've been designing in a wide range of media for literally two thirds of my life. Starting back in High School with sound & lighting for theater, up 'til today with Synthesizer, Print, Packaging, Product Labeling, Tradeshow, and Web Site Design under my belt.

My experience is broad, and includes not only my artistic output, but work in Electronic Repair, Customer Service, Production Management, Hardware/Software Product Development and acting as Technical Liason. What it comes down to is that I've been around the block in the worlds of Product Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Support. What it comes down to is that I "get" commerce.

I hold an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from De Anza College in Cupertino, Ca. and have studied design & illustration through UC Santa Cruz Extension. At various times I've also studied electrical engineering, electronic music, computer programming and flamenco guitar.
