View All Around Mystic

Mystic Connecticut has some beautiful scenery. From it's clear blue skies, it's open fields as well as some incredible views of the river. I don't know how much it cost to live in Mystic, but if I ever get enough money and can take the quiet boring life, I move to Mystic.

View of some water front property across from the seaport.....God it's beautiful & probably expensive

Mystic has nice quiet areas. All surrounded by beautiful tree lines and the Mystic river. The air is fresh and crisp.
The water looks cold and probably is freezing, but yet it looks so inviting and refreshing. This is a water town. Mystic made it on the map because of the whaling industry. Now Mystic is a vacation town. If no vacationers come...Mystic would disappear.  But with a beautiful & exquisite landscape, Mystic will be around for year and years to come.

Another attraction that you might not know about Mystic is it's vin yards.  Some of the best wine I ever tasted was from Mystic. They have about 3 or 4 different vin yard in Mystic. We went to the Stonington vin yard, where you can walk around the vin yard as well as get a brief and detailed tour on how they make the wine. Then you can get to sample the different wine they actually make at the vin yard.
And they cost for all this...$0..nothing..nada.

A view of the Stonington vin yard. The house in the back is where they process the wine.
In front of the house you can see the grape vines going left to right.
One other quality I would like to mention about Mystic. The food. Some of the best food I ever had was at Mystic. The seafood, the steak, everything was just so dam good. It's a seafood town and going to Mystic without trying the seafood is like going to Amsterdam without trying the pot.
A slice of heaven my ASS. You can skip this place. The pizza sucks and who wants to stare at Julia Roberts putem as you eat pizza that is soggy and cheese that is like rubber crap. I mean you don't get a slice hot out of the oven, they keep the slices warm under hot red lights...if any pizzeria did that in Brooklyn they would get the crap beat out of them.

Mystic has a lot to offer, but it also has some draw backs. We where their for Memorial day weekend and we expected something special or maybe a special event....there was nothing. Just a usual day their. Also everything closes around 6:00. Every dam day. I expected places to stay open late because of the holiday weekend, but no luck..6:00 came and everything closes up. It sort of disappointing when you want to have some fun at night. They also have a small shopping center..actually it's just a bunch of stores on the street about 2 blocks long...big whoop. They don't offer much in variety, but if you like to go and do some knickknack shopping I guess you will like it.

They also have the Old Mystic Village. A place where you are in this little section of original Mystic. Where their are shops and a little band stand...where they play the worst music. They have a brook that runs through the village. Ducks, geese, and other small animals all over the place. They have a wide variety of stores in the village. It's a nice and a pleasant place to just walk and browse...just don't listen to the music, trust me.

Even if you don't go anywhere, Mystic has a lot to offer just outside your hotel door.
