Ok first their is the beach. Unbelievable. Clear, clean and warm. Water was a bit high with salt and very strong. Waves can knock you on your ass, but still great and wonderful to swim or play in.
That's me...scared shitless..but I loved it.
Then you can try parasailing. Terrifying if you scared of heights,
like
me. But actually a lot of fun.
You start on the beach and the boat then drags you out and you go
up...really up...higher then the building.
You get a great view of the entire area as well as the lagoon in
Cancun. If you have the balls to look down you might even see a large fish
swimming in the ocean.
It does not cost that much between $35-$50 dollars. Your up their
for about 12-15 min. Just take this one piece of advise. When you are coming
down you have to pull on one side of the parachute. Then let go of it and
you will float down nice and soft...remember to let go or you'll go
down like a stone..I know!
Then their are the marketplaces. A place to shop and buy different things. They sell a lot of silver and Gold. They braid hair like wild. The sales people are also very pushy. Most marketplaces the salesman are very aggressive. If you go to the marketplaces in Downtown Cancun, the sales person will actually chase you down. The one in the picture is not that bad. Just have to tell people to take a hike.
Then you have your bars....everywhere there is a bar...you can't beat a dead cat with out hitting it against a bar..thats why I loved this place. Not too expensive to drink. Most bars have some sort of specials. American beer is more money, but the local beer are just as good. Dos Equis & Corona did the job for me. Lots of dancing and loud music. Not bad looking shot girls. The people working their are fun and friendly. They know how to party.
Me going for a wild ride....hope there is water in
the pool below me
Then you can go to Wet N' Wild water park. This is the place where
you can swim with dolphins as well as do a snorkel with sharks & sting-rays.
Swimming with dolphins was a lot of fun. It is something that you don't
do everyday. You actually in the water with the dolphins. They actually
swim up to you and you can touch them and pet them. One dolphin is trained
to splash you if you splash it first. It cost about $99 but that also includes
admission to the water park. The snorkeling with sharks & sting-rays
sound interesting too. Don't worry they are just nursing sharks so they
don't come up after you or anything like that.
Once your done with the dolphins or the sharks....unless they
are finished with you first. You can go on the different water rides
at the park. They only about 6 different rides, but all of then fun. They
include:
Large raft slide--four people sit in a raft down a long bumpy slide
A large wave pool--Where you can ride or get nailed by the waves
Sky Coaster--A bungee swing you lye down in and swing
MACH 4 (Twister & Kamikaze)--Either you go with a tube or without
Double space bowl ( pictured above) --they have two. One open top & one closed top
Lazy river-- Sit in a tube or on your back and let the water push you along....I thought this was the best
Kiddy park--rides just for the young ones

Then for something totally different you can
go and take a ride on your own personnel submarine. You go out in
a boat
into the ocean. Actually it's a reef. Where you get in this machine called
a BOB. The air tank in front pressurizes the bubble where you head goes.
So the water only goes up to your shoulders when your underwater. You go
down about 20-25 feet. Where you move this motorized machine. You can turn
and go forward. You can't go up or down. You go with a group and a tour
guild. Your down for about 20-25 mins. Where you can breath normally and
experience being underwater. Once your down you will see all
types of different fish. Including sting-rays.
The price was about $69. I expected to see more fish but it is something
to be under the water and breath normally. Also you might feel a little
claustrophobic. Since your also going underwater in a pressurized machine,
your ears will keep popping. It's a little annoying, but it's not unbearable.
Overall it is well worth it.
Another
view of the BOB underwater
The Captain Hook pirate/dinner cruise was a lot of fun. It cost
about $56 for a steak dinner or $69 for a lobster dinner. Before you even
get on board the show
begins. When you first get on the boat, you are greeted with
a drink and you get your picture taken with Captain Hook & his first
mate (named Mosquito). Then they start their show. Your host is Captain
Hook. As they set sail they interact with the people on board. Once
they do their thing, they have drinking games and dancing games to entertain
and delight one and all.....They picked on me a lot. They play good
dance music and keep you entertained for the full three hours. When you
get hungry just head downstairs and you get either a lobster tail or steak
dinner. It comes with salad, mushrooms, rice, vegetables, and if you want
chicken too. The food was really good. I mean better then the slop the
resort was serving. Then you go back upstairs for more fun and to
work off the food you just ate.
Oh yea and if you want to have a drink......FULL OPEN BAR.....I
told ya they know how to party...I love this place.
Then out of no where another pirate ship comes up and attacks your
ship. They even come aboard and try to take over the ship. A actual sword
fight between the pirates takes place and it is really entertaining. Once
that is done you celebrate with your crew mates. Then you return to port
to say good-bye. A really great time and very entertaining. The waiters
were really cool...they keep bring me beer.
There are probably a dozen more thing you can do in Cancun that are
fun. Would of done more, but I was exhausted. Hope you like what I had
to offer.
