Flourshing

Small things break open the world of God’s love and the flourishing of God’s realm among us. The heart-sight of God gives place and significance to those who have been overlooked. Trust in these workings of God subverts human wisdom about power and the future. We are invited to imagine how, in God’s realm, things are not as the world anticipates.

The realm of God flourishes in this world in ways seen and unseen. It invites us to radical trust in God’s ongoing action on behalf of creation. We delight at this growth flourishing in and among us. As we move into the Season after Pentecost, God’s Spirit sends us where we need to be. But the sending always begins in the home we have in the gracious presence and welcome of God. Where do you see the signs of the flourishing of God’s ways and works in your midst? How might these texts invite you and your congregation to trust God’s realm with new hope and vision?
