You have reached Fritzi. In 2003, I retired from the University
of Connecticut where I was Director of Infomation Technology at UCL for 26 years. Being retired is a real joy and
allows me to pursue volunteer efforts and other pleasures. I live in Storrs, CT.
Among other things, I am a volunteer for the New England Old English
Sheepdog Rescue Inc. located in Lincoln Mass http://www.neoesr.org . There are 2 Old English Sheepdogs (a.k.a OES
or sheepies) living with me. Sassafrass, aka Sassy, who a deaf 5 mo old puppy and was rescued Dec. 2010. Zen
is a 3 1/2 year old male and was rescued in 2008. We recently lost Brie in June 2010 of heart disease, she was
10. Brie was obedience trained and Zen is taking
classes. Brie has competed in Agility trials and has successfully passed her Canine Good Citizenship test. Sassy will
begin training classes in the next month. She is currently learning sign language.
The rescued dogs are joined by 3 rescued parrots who have lived
here for about 25 years. Chuck and Ali are Blue and Gold Macaws, Artie is a Timneh African Grey. We lost Fred,
a Red Lored Amazon in Oct. 2010 and he was over 30 years old.
