Valencia started her journey with the beauty industry in Virginia almost 20 years ago. After graduating/certification she went on to work for several local salons in the Richmond area. She was also VERY fortunate to train with and briefly work under The international Ambassador for Paul Mitchell Salon and Products Floyd Kenyatta....

After a few years of hairstyling and cutting Valencia decided to take her career in a different direction and try working in the cosmetic industry. She worked for and with Adrienne Arpel Cosmetics and ran the very first Adrienne Arpel Esthetician salon in Richmond Va....She later went on to work for Fashion Fair Cosmetics and while there winning counter of the year 3 years in a row....  She worked as a Business Manager for Lancome and freelance make-up artist. She also had the great pleasure to work a promotion with Lancome International Make-Up Artist Ross....

Valencia loved the cosmetic industry but couldn't resist returning to her first love hairstyling. But this time as an extension specialist. After attending several classes and seminars, Valencia decided to start Hair By Valencia and concentrate on applying and perfecting the art of strand by strand extensions. Since, she has extended her services to include custom hair texturizing, extension pre-tipping services and training programs.

To date Valencia's clientèle includes everyone from International Attorney's, NFL Cheerleader's, Models the everyday woman, she also has clients fly in from across the U.S and a few outside of the U.S. Valencia has vowed to continue to make the world beautiful one client at a time....
