The Effiny Saxophone Duo was formed in Bordeaux, France in 1989 and has since performed concerts in Austria, Canada,
Germany, Sweden and the USA. The repertoire features saxophone duos, and in some cases works that add piano, percussion
or electronics, by composers such as Steven Galante, Paul Hindemith, M. William Karlins, John David Lamb and Joan Tower, and
new compositions composed for Effiny by Reginald Bain, Mark Engebretson, Robert Lemay, David Macbride, Stuart Saunders Smith and
Alexander Wagendristel. Concert programs also draw from a large virtuosic repertoire for solo saxophone.
