The following six pages may be used as a template for running a group.  You may also wish to review these pages before attending a meeting, if you would like to see how the meeting is run.

With these guidelines, anyone should be able to lead a group successfully.  It is suggested that members take turns leading the meetings.  Since some group participants may have been hurt by people in positions of authority, this form of de-centralized leadership, can help these people to feel safe.  It may be helpful if two or three people share responsibility for meeting logistics (like opening and closing the meeting room, arranging chairs, setting up refreshments, etc).

Please e-mail faithsurvivors@earthlink.net if you would like an illustrated version of the following pages to be sent to you.  These pages may be reproduced.  We suggest laminating them or putting them in page protectors for use at each meeting.
