Lyrical and dynamic, the work of Denise Faith portrays the human form in a manner that is both
sensitive and romantic. Inspired by music, Faith sites the aural experience as a tremendous influence in work. For the viewer,
this fluid style clearly suggests rhythm and grace. Equally noticeable in her work is the attention given to line and form.
Faith studied Asian Art History and her interpretation of the calligraphic line is a brilliant dimension to her work. The
simplicity of her lines boldly creates the feeling of movement as if her subjects are engaged in an eternal dance. Her color
choices further emphasize this feeling of action, as the colors appear and reappear in different places on the canvas, as
if they are fading in and out. Though Faith prefers that her work be open to "the viewer's experiences and moods",
undoubtedly her work will contribute to a sensation of exuberant life.
