Sixth build: Jay Nagde's Blue Magic
Beautiful overdrive! Gets a nice bluesy tone out of my strat and Fender Deluxe Reverb. I can get quite a range of sounds out of this box, and it sounds quite different between neck and bridge pickups.
The Mid switch halves R11 and doubles C12 via a DPDT switch which adds a 22K Resistor in parallel with R11 and a .0047mF cap in parallel with C12. Both the Mid and the Open switch are relatively subtle, but still noticible when switched.
For the graphic I played around with some filters in Photoshop until I got the desired blue with fiber optic swirls (the photo really doesn't do it justice). The red knobs are all that I had on hand.
I have found that this one sounds great with a sparkle boost in front of it; give it a try...
