The East Valley Senior Center announces a new shopping program designed to assist homebound seniors with their shopping needs. Volunteers will help frail, homebound seniors, who are unable to leave their homes, obtain groceries on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The center seeks qualified volunteers to be part of this program. This is a one-on-one volunteer opportunity and interested persons must have reliable transportation and the ability to commit to six (6) months volunteering. Some of the other areas we need help in are:
Trip
dept. and office phone receptionist. Current Events Facilitator.
Kitchen assistants at different nutrition sites. Quilting or knitting instructors. Basic Internet instructors. Chorus program leader. Exercise instructor. Arts and crafts instructor. Grocery shopping for seniors. Current events facilitator. Data entry on the Internet.
