What is the
Multipurpose Center based transportation program? A personalized door-to-door
transportation service offering shared rides for the elderly and disabled
who are unable to access other modes of transportation. Our vans are wheelchair
accessible and American Disability approved. Who is eligible? A disabled individual, or
a senior 65 years of age or older, requiring personalized assistance. Any other requirements?
Yes, you must be a resident of the City of Los Angeles and also register
with City Ride before calling Howard for a reservation. When is transportation available? Transportation
is available Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4PM. Is there a fee for this
service? There is a minimum charge of $1.00 for round trips in the East
Valley area. A minimum charge of $2.00 for round trips outside the East
Valley area. How do I make a reservation? Call Howard
at (818) 766-3314 at least four (4) days in advance of
the day you need the ride.
