Basic Criteria:

• Race is restricted to 2yo or 3yo
• Race is grade 1 or grade 2
• Horse has never run in a graded race
• Horse finished 1st or 2nd last 3 starts
• Experienced at or near todays distance
• Must have established form on todays surface type (dirt, turf, poly)
• Qualifies on 2 lifetime starts against a similarly inexperienced field

Other Positives To Look For:

• 5 or more lifetime starts
• Fast final times in recent races
• Well bred with stud fee above USD 10k
• Leading trainer
• No layoffs in the last 3 races
• Turf form which is compatible with the poly surface
• High track class last 3 races
