Well i'm a 20 something male living near Tampa, Florida. I am originally from Buffalo, NY. Everyone I meet down in Florida immediately asks 'Do you miss the snow?', like thats all there is! Well now that I think about it, that is all there is.
I moved in late October 2001 and in December 2001, 7 feet of snow fell in Buffalo over a span of 4 days. Do I miss the snow? Naaaaa! I lived most of my life in rural areas with Buffalo being the big city, 35 miles away. My high school was Springville GI and my senior class was about 150 students. After high school I went off to college, I started at a junior college and eventually graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo, aka U.B. (you might know them for the football team). I have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, someday I might use it! Right now i'm working in computers and probably will continue with that. Ok so as I said, now i'm down in Florida. The weather is great. A flock of ducks visits my back door almost every day looking for some bread. The garbage trucks are orange (this is nifty if you ask me) and I love sitting on the beach and watching the ocean. I also enjoy collecting sea shells on the beach, I caught a baby octopus once!

Film:

I enjoy going to the movies or renting one from blockbuster or PPV. I enjoy the 'theatre' experience but it does not drive me to only view a movie in a theatre. Usually I'll go for a sci-fi flick if it makes any sense or is a mild possibility for the present/future. My tastes are not of the typical computer geek, I enjoy many types of movies. I don't really like horror all that much. But I like many other types of movies: comedy, drama, romance, etc. I'd list a few movies I've seen recently, but the list would probably get out of date from me not fixing this page so I guess I won't. But I can list some of my favorites from the past:

The Shawshank Redemption, Matrix, Forever Young, Braveheart, Crouching Tiger- Hidden Dragon, American Beauty, Ghostbusters, X-Men, Star Trek, The Sixth Sense, Stir of Echoes, The Lost Boys, Stargate, Titan AE, Vanilla Sky. I have plenty more but this is all I could think of at the moment. I guess my favorites actors/actresses would be: Mel Gibson, Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Bacon, Halle Berry, Tom Hanks, Kiefer Sutherland. If I had to choose my least favorite actor/actress it would be Helen Hunt.

Television:

I'm not really a sit com fan, I don't get caught up in the shows that people talk about next to the water coolers. Same old boring plots that have been done over and over before. Since I don't have any current favorites, I'll just give you a list of my past favorites: M*A*S*H, Seinfeld, Stargate SG1, Star Trek (newer), and The Simpsons! I also like watching the discovery type channel to learn about new things.

Music:

I think my music collection is fairly large. Its all digital in mp3 format mainly, I have a stereo system, but I just prefer to use my computer. For computer's, Winamp is the best mp3 player out there. The cd's that I own I have 'ripped' so I can play them on my computer. Usually I just lump all the songs I have into one huge list and put winamp on random play. Some people would cringe at this since you can go from an upbeat techno track to a very slow song. But that's the way I am, I like what I like and I usually don't stick within one genre for that long. I like many types of music, New Age is probably my dominant type, the Pure Moods I, II, and III cd's have a wide mixture of this type of music from artists such as Yanni, Vangelis, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Engima, Deep Forest. Its very soothing generally and I find that I enjoy listening. I recently picked up Enya-Paint the Sky With Stars and Deep Forest-Deep Forest. And then in my style, I listen to Smashing Pumpkins, right along with New Age. Freaky huh? Smashing Pumpkins rules, one of the few bands where I like just about every song on the cd's they make. Among my other favorite types are: ambient techno, acid jazz, trance, dance/club, rock, slow rock, classic rock, r&b, rap. I'm sure I'm missing some types that people are familiar with, but I probably have it. For some streaming music, I recommend www.live365.com, very little commercials!

Reading: I am sometimes an avid reader. In high school, I'd be doing a book or two a week at times, I don't read as much now. However if I get my teeth into a book, I usually don't stop until its done-hours or a couple of days later. :) Of course I read Dragonlance which is a fantasy novel series (I think that was obvious from my page). And I read other fantasy type books and sci-fi. Dean Koontz is the man! I love his books, I'd classify them as suspense and drama. Besides that I also enjoy books of many other types, as I said, I have wide tastes.
