Metamorphoses: St. Louis

Chapter Three: The Long Road

For a variety reasons (mainly consisting of one of the Storytellers getting a job offer in Brooklyn, New York and the Head Storyteller moving there with her), the Metamorphoses: St. Louis, abruptly ended before the ninth session occurred. This site will remain up for memory's sake, but will not likely be updated again, except for minor editorial issues and website maintenance.

We'd like to thank all the people who played in this game for the few months that it was around; without you all, there just couldn't have been a game. Some of the more pressing questions that the Storytellers were asked at the wrap-up session have been included in a Endgame FAQ; so please feel free to check that out. If you still have questions regarding the game, please feel free to contact the Head Storyteller.

Once again – thanks to all the players for all the memories and good times!

Hello and welcome to the homepage of Metamorphoses: St. Louis, a free-form ongoing LARP which, while being played in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is set in a version of St. Louis from White Wolf's World of Darkness setting (although, given that White Wolf never really officially described St. Louis in any depth, the Storytellers have mainly generated the city's history and background, so you'll more than likely need to read the History of the City to find out what's going on before you make your character).

We hope, in the course of the game, to focus on such issues as disclosures, emancipation, recovery, change, and, ultimately, metamorphosis. St. Louis is a stable city that has been held by the Camarilla since 1817, and has not threatened by outside forces for ages. We are focusing on politics, intrigue, Kindred/Mortal interactions, Camarilla/Anarch relations and internal strife over combat and violence.

We are currently accepting characters from both the Camarilla and the Anarch sects; we have no need for undercover Sabbat or other such infiltrators. All characters should be from the six major clans or the Gangrel of the Caitiff; please see the Character Creation section of our page for more details on character creation - including our deviations from the "standard" character creation rules set out in Laws of the Night: Revised. Also, we'd prefer it if you get your characters to us at least four or five days before a session, so we can have time to go over your background and so on. It is our policy to not approve characters on the day of the session itself, so obviously, the sooner you get a character to us, the better. You'll also want to check out the House Rules section as well, since we are making changes to a number of things from White Wolf's standard rules.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact the storytellers, and we'll do our best to help you out!

In the mean time, feel free to roam around these pages, explore and find out about our game. See you all at the games!

PS: I used some funky fonts on this page that not everyone might have. So, in the interest of fairness (and so you can see the page how I wanted it to look), you can click here to download a zip file containing these fonts! Please do so, and you can enjoy these pages, in all of it's glory! Neat, eh?
