It was about two days after September 11th that I was watching; CNN? MSNBC? who's keeping track? They were interviewing two volunteer steel workers coming off of "Ground Zero" for a much needed rest. The anchor was trying to finish up the interview when one of the workers said, in his blue collar New York voice (as I recall it) "I'd like ta take dis opportunity ta send a message ta President Bush, and I'm sure dat a lot a dah guys down at dah union agree wit' me on dis one. We don't need no memorials here. We got enough already wit' dah one at Oklahoma City. Dat's not how we do tings in New York! What we need ta do here is rebuild; bigger and better den ever; rebuild dah towers taller den before; build tree [3] towers; build four!"
