When I was about 4 years old my mother gave me my first 64 color set of crayons. I felt like Alice in Wonderland. Like I somehow I slipped into another dimension in time. All I had ever seen was the 6 color crayon sets. Red, yellow, blue, orange,green & purple. My first time seeing metallic colors and more than one shade of blue and green opened my world to color. Then in my early forties I discovered the self taught artist Donna Dewberry on P.B.S. T.V. I watched and taped her video’s on one stroke, painting. She made painting an easy magic formula in which I could expand my creativity. Today I paint mostly tins, hand blown eggs, and small gift cards.
Every time I paint I feel I enter Alice’s magic world through paint & color. My work is very colorful, childlike and dreamy.
