The mandate of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, to "teach all nations" has been the inspiration of the faithful throughout the centuries to engage in the educational ministry of the Church. Fundamental to all of these efforts for the education of millions is the principal belief that each student must come to understand that he or she was created for the purpose of knowing, loving, and serving God in this world. It was precisely this belief that inspired the founding pastor of the Church of the Epiphany, Monsignor Anthony Ferretti, to dream of an educational foundation that would enable every child of the parish community to appreciate his/her responsibility as a child of God. Monsignor Ferretti's dream became a reality in September of 1930 when four Sisters of Charity opened the doors of Epiphany School to its first students.
Grounded in the charism of St. Vincent De Paul, the spiritual father of the Sisters of Charity who have served Epiphany School has remained the same. Epiphany School exists for the purpose of providing students from prekindergarten through grade eight with an educational experience which is predicated upon the Gospel teachings of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, and rooted in the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. In support of the mission of Epiphany School, the administration, faculty, and staff are committed to:
Epiphany School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School. Epiphany School does not discriminate on the basis or race, color, national, and ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, athletic, and other school-administered programs. The non-Catholic student is welcome at Epiphany School. The non-Catholic student is expected to understand and agree that the School exists to educate in the framework of Catholic values. Non-Catholic students must participate in Religion classes and liturgical services scheduled for students during the school year.
