The Eden Prairie Community Band is an adult community band of over fifty musicians most, but not all coming from Eden Prairie, Minnesota.  The group was organized in 1973 and is under the direction of Tom Maeck.  In addition to the concert band, a subset of members also participate in Jazz on the Prairie Big Band under the direction of Don Bates.  The band is also home for the Prairie Schooners (Dixieland) and a number of woodwind and brass ensembles.

Our groups are eager to play.  Check out our list of Upcoming Events.  For inquiries call Sandy Werts, our contact at the city of Eden Prairie, at (952) 949-8450 or send her an email: swerts@edenprairie.org.

We welcome the addition of interested musicians.  The band rehearses at Central Middle School in Eden Prairie (map) on Thursday nights.  A typical rehearsal has the concert band playing from 7-9pm and the jazz band from 9-10:30pm.  Check our Member’s Calendar for updates.  Please review our guidelines and contact membershipinquiries@epcommunityband.org if you have any questions or would like to stop by.

Still have questions?  Find a typo here on the web site?  Fill out a comment form and your inquiry will be brought to the band’s attention.
