The Eastern Nebraska Human Services Agency (ENHSA) was established July 1, 1974 by Cass, Sarpy, Douglas,
Dodge and Washington counties in Eastern Nebraska. The purpose of this cooperative agreement was to promote and maintain the
personal growth and autonomy of the citizens in the area while combining the City of Omaha Aging Office,ENCOR and the Alpha
School. This created a regional administration to provide services which are not or cannot be provided by other organizations.
The administrative structure is county government with one representative from each of the five county boards serving on the
governing board. The Agency serves several thousand individuals including senior citizens and individuals who are developmentally
challenged or have mental health issues.
We have prospered as an organization because of the dedicated, enthusiastic
staff who work for us in direct line and professional positions. We in turn offer our employees the opportunity for growth,
creativity, fun and at the end of their shift the knowledge that they have made a difference.
We also offer competitive
salaries and benefits to our full-time employees including life insurance, group health coverage, short term and long term
disability, educational assistance, retirement plan, 12 days of paid vacation and 12 days of paid sick time after the
first year and 11 paid holidays per year.
