My inspiration to create colorful art also begs me to appreciate it in other artist's creations. My own observation
of art often asks me to contemplate the artist's original meaning. More often than not, however, I find a moment that brings
me to myself... the work instigates a personal response... more internal than external. Rarely have I seen a moment when
a viewer of my images takes the same meaning from it that I felt upon creating it. However, many times I have seen a viewer
make a connection that brings him or her to themselves... something that is meaningful to them as an individual. It is this
moment that I strive for as an artist... the moment when my excitement in creating the original piece is perceived by the
viewer and translated into personal recognition. It seems the best of both worlds for the artist and art observer... both
are allowing space for something meaningful in their lives.
As with
many endeavors, the path to creating the artwork itself is a lifetime of experience. It is ever changing and moving through
natural cycles. My fondest wish is that your contemplation of my photography will lead you to something that is meaningful
for you. Hopefully, your appreciation will connect you with some part of yourself that is as personal as creating the image
is for me.
Many Thanks,
Jenni
