Entering a quilt
Please start planning your entry to the Empire QuiltFest. This is not a juried show; all entries from New York State quilters are welcome.
Organizers would like to extend the invitation and opportunity to have your quilt judged. There is no better way to improve and grow in our craft than to have your work judged. The judging process is done by an experienced and trained judge who will honestly and constructively judge your quilt on its own merits. She will give you ways to improve what you have done and give you a better understanding of how and why a quilt is considered a quality piece. Your work is judged on its own merits and not compared to other quilts.
The Empire QuiltFest will provide security and insurance for your quilt while it is in our possession. The
maximum insurance we will provide for an item is $1000. This is a reasonable replacement of materials only.
If you are concerned that the value of your quilt exceeds this insured amount, we strongly encourage you to
have it appraised and covered under your homeowner’s insurance. Security is a high priority for us and we
will do everything possible to insure the safety of your project.
