Hand-Carved Art Stamps

I do these with an X-Acto knife and either Eberhard Faber "Rubkleen" (No. 6002) or Faber Castell "Magic Rub" (No. 1954) erasers. For detailed work, the "Rubkleen" is superior; for that very reason it's a bit tougher to carve.

Of the mythological and other figures, animals, bugs, and pattern motifs pictured here, one of my favorites is what I call the "Chaplinesque Clock." I fall prey easily to time pressure, so carved for myself a reminder that time can also be my friend and is, in and of itself, benign.
