FAREWELL ANNOUNCEMENT |
This Site was Last Updated: March 31, 2006
My webpage from ancient times is still up. Cool!
A lot has changed since I last touched this page on January 22, 1999 when I gave the farewell announcement below. I've been involved in a lot of things since then --- too much to list here. But what I think I'll do is use this as an opportunity to post some links that gives a hint at some things I've been doing, and also, importantly for my current ventures, enhance the link popularity of some of my sites ;-)

Farewell note from Ruperto Elpusan Jr. on January 22, 1999
As all things in data processing have to come to an end, with the possible exception of Cobol, so too with this site! I'ts been fun. This site has been operational for over two years, first under a simple directory in an Earthlink account, then finally in the z-web.com domain. This has been a free site, but the fact is that yours truly the author, has been a FORMER corporate data processor for two years now -- with an emphasis on the word 'former' --- as I have successfully ventured full-time in Internet businesses.
It's possible for corporate data processors to make a good living, as my client/server consulting took me to over $150k per year, and one year where I lived under sleep deprivation, I was close to the $200k mark. And I have a friend who transformed himself from a Powerbuilder client/server consultant to one who specializes in SAP and he's at $300k/year mark. Not shabby at all!
And optimizing your consulting career is a good honorable, worthwhile thing to do. However, I've managed to successfully swing for the home-run, because when ownership is involved, you can get over the million dollar a year mark and beyond. I don't want to sound like I'm gloating, but I've done this. It's all possible in the Internet!
Best regards to all and the
best of luck in your endeavors!
Ruperto Elpusan Jr.
Check out my Tennis Invention: VolleyMaster This is something I and my brother have a patent pending on designed for sports requiring hand-eye coordination with a racquet. It develops your swing and stroke in making contact with the ball and a great exercise and training apparatus.
