CHILD ABUSE BY MOTHER AND COUNTY
Seven-year-old Xiana Fairchild disappeared on December 9, 1999 here in Vallejo, California. This precious innocent Hawaiian child is a victim of official disdain and aloofness of Child Protective Services and the Solano County District Attorney's office. Like hundreds of thousands of other children, Xiana lived in the shadow of her selfish, raging, abusive mother, Antoinette Robinson. The presence of Robinson's live-in boyfriend, Bobby Turnbough, worsened Xiana's circumstances. Turnbough was on parole for felony child endangerment.
Xiana's only value was $700 a month for housing and food-stamps that her mother used to support her own depraved lifestyle. So Xiana did not have regular meals and a warm bed. Her bed was a closet in a squalid little one room apartment. She suffered in this closet while her mother and Turnbough had sex, partied, used drugs, argued and brawled.
Xiana had to walk to and from the school bus stop alone, through a maze of intersections, desolate parking lots, and boarded up buildings. This vulnerable little girl had to brave a frightening area inhabited by derelicts, drunks, prostitutes and other sex offenders. When Xiana returned from school, she often found herself locked out of the apartment rented with her money. She stayed with neighbors or waited hours in the hallway. A neighbor contacted Child Protective Services. They never came to Xiana's aid and bureaucratically hid behind a self-imposed 10-day response time.
Every mindful person knows that a woman who abuses her husband or partner is highly likely to abuse her children. These women know no bounds and poor Xiana was forced into a wretched life by her evil mother. Police arrested Robinson last year for assaulting Turnbough. Upon Robinson's arrest, the authorities should have removed Xiana from the apartment and give her the protection she deserved. Instead, the authorities chose to ignore this helpless child's plight. Robinson soon returned home. A few weeks later, Xiana Fairchild disappeared.
Earlier this year, the Solano County District Attorney's office announced that it would not prosecute Robinson. This is unbelievable considering the number of crimes Robinson has committed. This decision does not surprise me, for this agency has a long history of supporting female villainy. I pray for this to end, for our children's sake.
